Opening Up a Relationship: questions, myths and possibilities
An introductory, accessible talk open to everyone; you don’t need to be in a couple to attend.
A space to approach the topic of open relationships with clarity and curiosity, without pressure and without having to make any decisions on the spot.
What we’ll talk about
Together with our guest Francesco Consorti, psychologist and psychotherapist in training, we’ll explore:
🔹 what “opening a relationship” actually means
🔹 the different forms it can take
🔹 which questions are worth asking before moving to the “how”
and before involving other people
🔹 why opening a relationship is not a solution, nor an obligation,
but one possibility to be considered with some clarity
🔹 a few common myths — which we can gently let go of 👋
This is a non-experiential talk.
There will be no practical exercises, no forced sharing, no role play, and no surprises.
It’s designed for curious minds, whether single or in a relationship,
and for anyone who wants to explore the topic with clarity before making any decisions.

La nostra esperta
Francesco Consorti is a psychologist and psychotherapist in training, working in the field of psychological wellbeing and personal growth. He holds a degree in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience and completed his professional training in a range of clinical and community settings, including the Psychiatry Department at Careggi Hospital, the SerD addiction services of USL Toscana Centro, and several local social cooperatives.
He is the founder of Emotional Exploration, a project born from his passion for the psychology of emotions.
“I believe that each of us already carries the inner resources needed to face challenges and pursue our goals. When things become difficult, it’s often because we’re unable to access or use those resources effectively. In those moments, my role is to help people reconnect with their potential: by understanding the problem, developing new skills, and finding strategies to navigate it. That process is at the heart of my work.”
